The Richardson Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association relies on membership dues, donations, and fundraising events to support programs that benefit Richardson Police Department personnel, their families, retired RPD K9s, and the community.
Our fundraising efforts help fund the Back the Blue Fund, the Retired RPD K9 Medical Support Fund, scholarship programs, employee appreciation initiatives, and other projects that strengthen the partnership between the Richardson Police Department and the citizens it serves.
Our largest and most successful fundraising event is the Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event, which has become a popular community tradition while helping raise funds for these important programs.

Since 2007, the RCPAAA Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event has provided residents with a convenient way to safely recycle unwanted electronics, securely destroy sensitive documents, and support programs benefiting the Richardson Police Department.
Held each Spring and Fall, this popular community event helps reduce landfill waste, protect citizens from identity theft, and raise funds that support scholarships, retired RPD K9s, employee appreciation initiatives, and other RCPAAA programs.
What began as a small community service project has grown into one of the organization's most successful fundraising and outreach efforts, serving thousands of residents throughout the Richardson area.Help is always needed.
