ABOUT US

The Richardson Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (RCPAAA) was founded in 1993 by graduates of the inaugural Richardson Citizen Police Academy class. Organized as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, the Association exists to support the Richardson Police Department and strengthen the partnership between the Department and the citizens it serves.

Membership is open to graduates of the Richardson Citizen Police Academy who live or work in Richardson and share a commitment to public safety, community engagement, and support for local law enforcement. Through volunteer service, community outreach, and fundraising activities, RCPAAA members serve as ambassadors for the Richardson Police Department while helping foster understanding, trust, and cooperation between citizens and police officers.

The Association supports the Richardson Police Department in a variety of ways, including volunteer service, employee recognition, scholarship programs, community events, assistance for retired RPD police K9s, and support for Department personnel and their families during times of need. These activities not only provide tangible assistance but also help strengthen the relationship between the Department and the community.

The RCPAAA works closely with each new Richardson Citizen Police Academy class, encouraging graduates to remain involved and continue building positive connections between law enforcement and the citizens of Richardson.

For more than three decades, the Association has remained dedicated to supporting the men and women of the Richardson Police Department while promoting mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation throughout our community.
